Emily Snyder
has been writing stories ever since she was old enough to stop dictating them.

Her first sallies into the creative world took the form of original fairy tales, a style that she has always loved and which inspired her to create the Twelve Kingdoms, the setting for Niamh and the Hermit.

Other fantastical works by Ms. Snyder include a short story "Better Seen Than Heard" in Marion Zimmer Bradley's Sword and Sorceress XIX Anthology, an award-winning story "If We Shadows Have Offended" in MZB's Fantasy Magazine, a series of articles in The Writer's Exchange, and a thesis on The Definition, Development and Defense of Political Fantasy.

Ms. Snyder also founded and maintains the Christian Guide to Fantasy, as well as its sister site, Tower of Ivory Literary E-zine.

When not writing, Ms. Snyder divvies up her time between theatre and teaching. More information can be found on her personal (and very messy) site, Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam!
