Reviving the Salon

In the France of the Sun-King, Salons were the order of the day - gathering places for the intelligencia to discuss philosophy, theory, science, literature, politics, religion - in short, anything that came to mind.

This issue of TOI revives that tradition. Our contributors have given us a banquet of "mind-candy" - articles and stories to make us think about the nature of faith and fantasy.
