A Brief Orientation
Before stepping into the wonderful world of internet bulletin boards, I'd like to give you a brief orientation about how we happen to run the board at the CGF.
The board is open, meaning that everyone is welcome to post. You do not have to register, however, if you plan on posting a lot, we request that you do register by clicking on the "Need help logging in?" link.
In any case, introduce yourself in the beginning of your first post.
We do request that you use your real name when posting. If unable to do so when registering, then sign your real name at the bottom of your post.
Similarly, when you do post, we request that you keep all content clean and respectful. To whit:
No swearing, cursing or crude language will be tolerated.
If you are registered, please do not use an offensive personal picture (naked women are a no-no, even if they ARE elves).
Please respectful of others' opinions. Since this is a board of reviews, and reviews are necessarily opinion, not all opinions will match.
Please also be respectful of others' beliefs. There are many denominations posting here; this is not the place to discuss theology. If, however, you would like to ask for prayers, feel free to post them in The Basilica.
If you repeatedly transgress these boundaries, you will be blocked off from the boards.
If you are posting a review of a book, please be aware of several important things:
All postings of reviews for books on the CGF bulletin board are subject to the CGF's use.
If a review is objectionable, a flamer, offensive or irrational, it may be removed from the board without consulatation.
All reviews posted should comply with the CGF Ratings Key. If you are unsure how this works, please take a look at reviews posted on the CGF.
In fact, take a look at the reviews already listed here before reviewing yourself. It's always a good idea to familiarize yourself before leaping in!
If your review is used on the main pages of the CGF, all rights will remain with you. If you would like a link to your page, or to your e-mail address, please supply them with the review.
The CGF is under no compulsion to use your reviews.
When beginning a new topic, please be mindful of what's reasonable for one person to read. Don't start twenty new threads in one day. Try responding before writing!
If you have read and agree with all the above, click "I agree" below. By clicking on "I agree," and/or by posting on the board, you are automatically subject to the rules and regulations listed above. If you do not comply with those rules, set out for the peace of mind of all involved!, then you will be banned from the board. Thank you.
