    Production Notes

The Hudson Catholic Starry Night Talent Show typically ran just before Thanksgiving Break, from 2002-2006, showcasing the HCH Chorus, student body, friends and even teachers!

  • 2002: Our first talent show and Miss Snyder's first year at HCH as a teacher. T. J. Coolidge and Alice Mullen as our first-ever Emcees. Nate Baran concluded the show with a fifteen minute acoustic set that was enthusiastically received and paved the way for the future of HCH talent shows.

  • 2003: This ended up being our "rockstar" talent show. We created a false stage out of the platforming that Miss Snyder had built for her summer show, Bearskin, the "Three Amigoes" of T.J. Coolidge, Shawn Murphy and Garrett Maruqes emceed - even appearing as the "Green Man Group" - and a trio of students rocked the house to Metallica until we literally had to give them the hook to have the show go on!

  • 2004: Going for a more Grandma-and-hearing friendly year, Starry Night 2004 was an acoustic dream, emceed by Jess Daigneault, rocking out but gently to Matt Wiedeman's and his band's cover of "Stairway to Heaven" and including several show tunes in the mix.

  • 2005: The year of the toast! Going with the same format as the previous year, Starry Night opened its doors to non-talent-talents as well, which resulted in Edmund Tocci famously making toast (well, OK, crusty bread) on-stage, and Ryan Gonor and Joe Manzella emceeing - sometimes as Harry Potter. It was also, although none of us knew it, our farewell show. No more Megs tying her shoes to huge applause, alas!

  • 2006: In place of Starry Night, we had the Seven Ages of Man cabaret night. Although there were plans for an april talent show, they were unfortunately put on hold due to (ahem) circumstances "beyond our control." However, we did whip up real quick The Night Before Christmas for the annual Christmas party at HCH!
